In the end of the week, changes in the traffic of individual tram routes are scheduled
During the repair works of the tram tracks in Kronvalda Boulevard, on Saturday, July 2, tram route No. 5, 7, 11, from the final points “Iļģuciems”, “Ķengarags” and “Mežaparks” respectively, will run only as far as Stacijas laukums. In the closed section of tram route No. 5, bus route No. 5T “Stacijas laukums – Mīlgrāvis” will be assigned to transport the tram passengers. Whereas, due to construction works which will be performed on Sunday and Monday, July 3 and 4, tram route No. 5 will run in the section “Iļģuciems - Aldaris”, while in the closed section of Tvaika Street, bus route No. 5T “Aldaris – Mīlgrāvis” will be assigned.
On July 2, there will be the following changes in tram routes:
- tram route No. 5,from the final point “Iļģuciems”, will run along the route to Aspazijas Boulevard. Further along Aspazijas Boulevard, K. Barona Street, Radio Street to Stacijas laukums and back along Radio Street, 13 January Street and further along the route to the final point “Iļģuciems”. During this time, the name of the tram route will be “Iļģuciems - Stacijas laukums”.
- tram route No. 7,from the final point “Ķengarags”, will run along the route to Aspazijas Boulevard. Further along Aspazijas Boulevard, K. Barona Street, Radio Street, 13 January Street and back along the route to the final point “Ķengarags”. During this time, the name of the tram route will be “Stacijas laukums - Ķengarags”.
- tram route No. 11, from the final point “Mežaparks” will run along the route to K. Barona Street. Further along K. Barona Street, Aspazijas Boulevard, 13 January Street, Radio Street, K. Barona Street and back to the final point “Mežaparks”. During this time, the name of the tram route will be “Stacijas laukums – Mežaparks”.
In order to provide service to the passengers of tram route No. 5 in the closed section, bus route No. 5T will be assigned. They will run along the following route. In the direction from Stacijas laukums, along Radio Street, 13 January Street, Aspazijas Boulevard, Zigfrīda Annas Meierovica Boulevard, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Kronvalda Boulevard, Ausekļa Street, Elizabetes Street, Eksporta Street, Pētersalas Street, Ganību dambis, Tilta Street, Sarkandaugavas Street, Zāģeru Street, Tvaika Street to Mīlgrāvis. Whereas, in the direction from Mīlgrāvis, bus route No. 5T will run along Tvaika Street, Lāpstu Street, Sarkandaugavas Street, Tilta Street, Ganību dambis, Pētersalas Street, Eksporta Street, Kronvalda Boulevard, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Zigfrīda Annas Meierovica Boulevard, Aspazijas Boulevard, Krišjāņa Barona Street, Radio Street.

Passengers who have registered the ticket for a certain number of trips, when changing from tram route No. 5, 7, 11 to bus route No. 5T (or vice versa), do not have to re-register their e-ticket or purchase a ticket. If a passenger has a one-month ticket, the first registration of which was made on tram route No. 5, in bus route No. 5T, it will be valid without registration within the boundaries of the route coincidence.
On July 3 and 4, the following changes are scheduled for the tram routes:
- tram route No. 5, from the final point “Iļģuciems”, will run along the route to the stop “Aldaris” and back along the route to the final point “Iļģuciems”.
Bus route No. 5T, from the stop “Aldaris”, will run along Sarkandaugavas Street, Zāģeru Street, Tvaika Street to the stop “Mīlgrāvis”. From Mīlgrāvis, the bus will run along Tvaika Street, Lāpstu Street, Sarkandaugavas Street to the stop “Aldaris”. Buses will stop at the tram stops, and in places where traffic along the track is not possible - at the nearby bus stops at the side of the street.
